Flower Server!

Lineage Zero seems to be dying, similar to the worst knight on the server, Police.  It was a decent server, no doubt, but the biggest thing it had going for it was population and PvP.  With the release of Diablo3 and some strange server political changes and a BS economy the population and PvP have taken a heavy decline.  Needless to say, I began logging into the server less and less.

And then a good friend told me about Flower Server.
http://flowerserver.wordpress.com/
It runs on the same base download as Lineage Zero.  Meaning you can just copy your Lineage Zero folder and title it Flower Server or something.  Add the few downloads from the Flower Server website, add the connector to the folder, and BAM!  You are a Flower!

I have only been on the server for a few days, but it is really fun.  Similar to Zero the grind from 1-75 is not too bad, but after 75 leveling is not similar to Zero.  It definitely slows down, but not the way Zero slows down.

I would rather grind my face on sand paper and then dip the wounds in salt than level on Zero...this is probably why I never leveled.  Flower server slows down, but you still feel accomplished after a session of grinding having made a good sum of money and a small handful of experience.

The level bonuses on Flower are different too.  And unlike Zero, small level differences matter on Flower.  On Flower a level 76 can get stunned or erased by a level 75, but it is going to be rare...this is way different than a level 65 on Zero showing up to erase everything that moves...and don't tell me it doesn't happen because I had a sub 70 elf on Zero that I could spam erase and land on most people relatively easily.  A few exceptions to the 80+ kids.

I know what you are thinking.  Doesn't this make it hard to compete with the hardcore grinders if a single level can be a big advantage...let alone if they grind 5+ levels ahead of you?  The people that are grinding levels definitely have an advantage, but the level gaps are very small.  75 is not hard to hit, and the highest level right now just hit level 78.  The level 78 is obviously going to do better in a fight if he knows how to play the class, but even a casual player can be competitive.  This works because of the slightly tweaked leveling system on Flower.  The highest level player on Flower will level at a "normal" rate.  Lower level players will level at a "bonus" rate.  The lower your level the higher the bonus.  The hardcore players will always have a bit of advantage on level, but even a casual player will always be able to stay within a few levels.

Some people might complain about this, and on a live server I would agree.  On a private server however, this keeps things interesting by leveling the playing field.  No one will ever "run away" from the masses by leveling their face off and then ruin PvP with their dominance.  It will come down to strategy, team work, and actual class skill (some advantages to the kids that are maxing their levels too..but much more limited than other servers) and not who donates the most or who has no job lol.

The population is pretty good too!  150+ on most times except right after resets, and more coming all the time!  Lets all play a fun server!

Let the fun begin!  Neighbor on Flower v.v
Giran siege every night.  They are pretty lively too.  From this screen shot it looks like CM is a problem again, but from what I have seen it is a lot more limited due to scroll drop rates...maybe I am just hunting the wrong spots?  Most the CM animations are coming from elves and mages, which just cast the spell on themselves.  I was seeing tons of knights getting cancelled and erase/destroyed without being able to spam CM....hooray!

The classes seem very well balanced here so far as well.
I will keep you updated on my progress and anything else I figure out about this server.

Feel free to join me on Flower and make sure to tell the GM that Neighbor sent you^^.

Kill for Fun

Neighbor is back on Lineage Zero~!

I have done a number of things in my absence.  I played Eternal Lineage (True Lineage) private server for a little while.  It was a fun server, but the population was too small and there was not enough PvP.  I played Zero Server off and on under random names to kill time and get my fill of kills.  I also took some time that I didn't game at all.

I am still busy with life, but I will make appearances at night to check in on the PvP and snag some kills^^.

77 is a relatively new player to Lineage Zero and has a great blog.  I recommend that you all check it out.  I have a link over to the right.  He posts daily about bosses, hunting. and death matches.  My blog will balance his out because I will only post PvP..a few non-PvP things may sneak in, but that is doubtful.  I will not be posting daily as he does though.  Verge also has an awesome blog where he makes mini comics about the lives within Lineage Zero.  I hope I get a feature soon...Keep up the good work guys!  Post in my chatbox if there are other active Zero blogs that I don't know about.

Anyhow, I am back now and I joined Legend pledge.  We rip face.  Get ready for it.

On to the kills~!  Some are older.  Some are newer.  All are raw.

Booo.
 CREAMY.
Dangoon.  I think this kid quit.  Probably because he had amazing items and good level (77) and still was bad at PvP.
 DistanCe.
 Drake.

Drake died.  Then he whisper spams me.  Rage harder?  Lol.  This doesn't seem very 'manners'...

Busy busy busy busy.......

I haven't posted in a while. I have been traveling a lot for work, and just working a lot in general.

I gave all my gears to friends that are still around and that can actually put them to use. Maybe I will come back in the future, but for now I am out.

Thanks for the fun~!

Bad Kids qq.....

GM Zero~!

I mentioned in the chat box on DH's blog that I would give a short run down of my thoughts on GM Zero.

GM Zero takes a lot of trash from the LinZero community regarding changes that should be made to the game, changes that shouldn't have been made, racial favoritism, bannings, unbannings, etc.

I am not going to argue any specific points, and I am not going to say these things are true or not true, as I have no solid proof of my own.

GM Zero has done a great job at creating a fun server with a solid user base. Are there things that could and should be changed? Of course. But that was the same with LoA and the Live Servers when they were open. Zero has been incorporating changes based on user feedback the entire time that I have been playing this server. It isn't always implemented the second that one may want the changes, but it is better than nothing. No one will ever completely agree on the "perfect game". No matter what changes are being implemented there are going to be people that love the changes and people that hate the changes, but overall I think Zero is doing a great job for a private server.

The server is pretty stable, especially as of recently. There have been no wipes of characters or items. The average user base is around 200 with peak times hitting over 250, and Zero is working on little posters/ads/videos to help bring more users all of the time.

It is a great server for anyone from social gamer to hardcore grinders, and for that, I thank Zero for allowing all of us the chance to play a game that we enjoy.

Name game from a BP mate.
Now that I have the new client with ToI I have been trying to get some more bosses. I haven't gotten anything good yet though.

Kill time~!
Aikoo. I won't go chaotic over some sub 70 character, at least if I know they are sub 70, unless I am already chaotic and don't mind the PK Count. But this kid kept jumping in fights against us and going pink. Go end kid. He flopped a good 4-5 times, but pointless in posting all of them.
BigBoys. This kid also died more times than the SS I am tossing up. Sub 70 go level.
BlackKnight. MVP. He died 10+ times in the last few days fighting against G&G pledge. I wonder if he is just losing lots of experience, or if he is losing lots of money on buy backs?

CoMong. An old friend from Spades pledge lol. Turns out he is still as bad as before even though he is now level 75+.

Cu. Mania pledge and G&G pledge have been fighting a lot recently. We are both pretty evenly matched, which makes for good fights. We like to pick random locations that we can enjoy the fights without START or Family taking over with large scale wars. I love START, but sometimes I like a smaller fight then the massive fights that START and Family can get into.
Bad screen qq.

ESPIRIT.
Falcon. He chao ended at one of the Mania vs G&G rumbles.
He dropped some Coma buff, which I was glad to pick up as they are harder to get now.
As you can see by the lack of PvP global, he died to a mop, but it was my stun lol.

Four.
FreeKill.
Fuu. Another sub 70 that doesn't he shouldn't go pink.
HuG. What is with all of the fire elves recently? This kid is a joke in PvP.

JokerRed.

LTD.
Luis. I apparently missed the actual end shot with the PvP global, but he definitely died. And then....
...he dropped an item since he was chaotic. Too bad the shirt blew. Thanks for nothing Luis.
MissFortune. Another fire elf qq.

NIKKO.
Queenie.
Schwer. He is 75+ now...congratulations!

Sherlock. v.v

SPCakon.
Swordy. I told you we were going to tag you back for the fights you hopped in against us.

XIIIX Chao End.

That is all that I have for now. Enjoy what you do!
Holler~!
